BURBERRY is a British luxury goods brand, considered one of the most famous worldwide. Their main goal was to become, in long term, the first in terms of digital connection. One of the points to reinforce this vision was the SAP HANA incorporation as a platform to consolidate the SAP and non-SAP systems information. For this, it was carried out a concept proof directed at:
- User’s need (like delivering real-time business information to the stores employees through an intuitive user interface);
- Business need (like accessing real-time inventory information for a faster decision making);
- Technological need (like reducing the information and interfaces redundancy to improve the technical architecture efficiency and simplicity).
NEW BUSINESS VIEW WITH REAL-TIME INFORMATION
As a result, it was developed an application for iPad where information was consolidated on customer purchase history, product catalog, searches with specific parameters (e.g. colors, sizes), and information from social networks.
The application, which enters the Clientelling App category, was presented in the SAPPHIRE 2012 as a business case.
