
Usina Serra Grande, located in São José da Lage, Alagoas, was founded in 1894. In 1997, Serra Grande acquired Usina Trapiche, in Sirinhaém (PE), one of the largest sugarcane companies in the Northeast. Both had to deal with numerous challenges, among them, the high cost of cutting sugar cane due to the region’s topography, which predominantly consists of hills and, therefore, the agricultural area controls have always been very strict.
A WORK THAT TODAY IS PERFORMED IN A TOTALLY INTEGRATED MANNER
In order to reduce the cost and facilitate the management of the entire production process, Grupo Serra Grande opted for the SAP implementation, and as a partner chose Agile Solutions.
The project scope included the SAP ERP implementation (FI, CO, MM, SD, LP), SAP ERP Industrial and Agricultural (MM, CO, PP, PM, QM, and PS); SPED Contábil, SPED Fiscal, SPED PIS/COFINS and FCONT, NFe (electronic Invoice); SAP HR and Payroll; SAP Business Intelligence. Agile Bioenergia Accelerators were also implemented (Contract management, Scale, Industrial Report, "Rurícola" Payroll, Quotation Systems, Variable Remuneration and Management Model, and Agroindustrial Cockpit).
